PROJECT BRIEF.
Brought to you by Whitney-Anne, Eugene, Jacob and Fadeke.
This section is the media project brief; this is basically an explanation of the course on a whole. The media course that we are doing consists of various different stages; these include Development, Pre-production, Production and Post production.
These stages have different sub pages that relate to our website, for development there will be things such as crew profile i.e. a brief explanation of each of our members, this includes there hobbies and skills. There will also be a team log, this is basically a log of each time that our group has a meeting or talk regarding our assignment, this can be via social media e.g. WhatsApp/Skype or it could even be a video our team having a meeting in college or outside college. There will also be research into the horror genre and a textual analysis from each of our member.
The pre-production (before we shoot our trailer) will consist of audience research i.e. to make sure that our trailer will be based upon what most people enjoy about the horror genre. Also the mood board, storyboard and drafting will come under this stage.
The production stage will have the location, sound, costume and make-up and our script. Each stage is critical and important but this stage stands out because if things are not done such as the script it could delay the shooting of our trailer. Finally there is the post production stage; this consists of four different evaluation questions such as, in what ways does your media production use, develop or challenge forms & conventions of real media products?
Also throughout our assignment we will have to have different skills to complete our work to the highest standard, some of these skills include knowing your way around Photoshop; we personally believe that this is a key aspect of creating a magazine of a high/professional standard. Skills on final cut pro will also be needed to make sure that our trailer has the right cuts and effects to make it work. We will also need research and artistic skills and most importantly we will need creativity to make to make our magazine the best that it can be.
Each member of our group has different skills and hopefully we will utilise these skills to create a unique and professional piece of work.
